If you are blogging to market your business, create content that is valuable, helpful and entertaining. Blogging is an effective way to grow your online rankings and traffic. It keeps you front and center with your target audience.
As the internet and technology become more ingrained in our day-to-day lives, the benefits of blogging become impossible to ignore. Blogging is a way of networking, whether you accept it or not.
Maximize the benefits of a blog by producing consistent, value driven posts. Then, once you have begun you must stay for the long haul. It is key to remain committed. Three blog postings will not deliver the kind of results that are likely to be evident after 30, 60 or 90.
The values of blogging:
- Blogging establishes you in the public’s eye
- Gives you the chance to showcase your books, (or whatever your creation is)
- Develops a greater rapport with your client base
- Is a great tool for retaining clients and extending your client base
- Protects your market share. If your competition isn’t blogging, you own the field
- It’s a chance to create a footprint for yourself – worldwide
- Becomes a relatively inexpensive form of marketing
- It is also a chance to voice concerns over issues that disturb you
- And is an excellent tool for funneling people to your website
Before coming up with your blog post topics, ask yourself:
- will this post help me attract potential clients?
- is this post helping me stand out?
- does it accurately reflect my skills?
- will this topic aid in solving a problem for my audience?
- or help with their struggles?
There is nothing wrong with sharing something valuable, if it helps your readers and grows your business. Or, you may want to create some content that’s just for fun and doesn’t necessarily relate to your business. I find that one of the greatest things about blogging, as an author, is that my topics are as varied as my books.
Blog for success.
