I Can’t Remember is a comfy tale about separation, amnesia, and the memories and friends made in the process of healing, while living on a mountain in the northern Rockies. It’s a well-paced, emotional story.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Why I wrote I CAN’T REMEMBER – the lost girl and a wolf. Most children are frightened about getting lost in the woods and certainly it can be scary. But not always. Lost is one thing but, if one was suffering from amnesia there would be less to fear, especially if a beautiful, huge dog came to your rescue.

I CAN’T REMEMBER

The lost girl and a wolf

Five-year old Amy Robinson lay, cold and damp, under the wide boughs of an evergreen tree. It was dark and rainy and she was all alone. Blood oozed from the wound on her head. Curled up next to the little girl was a wild animal, a wolf. When Amy woke, she had amnesia and had no idea where she was or why she was on a back-road all alone. The little girl could not remember her name or any details of her past.

Amy petted the wolf, thinking it was a dog. Dazed, she looked to her left then to her right. In both directions, the muddy mountain-road disappeared around the bends. When the wolf led her into the woods she followed.
