34th Annual Collins Writing Contest: Beyond

In days long ago, people labelled unknown areas with the phrase “Here be dragons.”

As we’ve learned and grown, the edges of the map have shifted to the boundaries of existence.

However, one thing has not changed.

People who search boldly among dragons may find opportunity:

To surpass limitations.

To achieve greatness.

To ascend.

For the 34th Annual Collins Writing Contest, entrants are invited to explore the subject of the beyond in a short story. Stories must be unpublished, 2000 words or fewer, and the work of a single author.
