To make your dream a reality, you have to transition from being a dreamer to a doer. Put in the time, work to take that dream and make it come true.  If you have a dream in your heart, don’t let it sit and gather dust.

The Dreamer is an idealist.  They dream up new ways, new things, and new possibilities.

A Doer gets things done.  They execute ideas.  They make dreams happen.

Being a dreamer is not a bad thing. In fact, one cannot become a doer if they are not a dreamer first . Dreams can be very comfortable as they are easy; and because they are easy, they have more takers. To  be or do anything of value in this world, one has to strike a balance between these two personalities. The world needs dreamers and doers but what it needs more is for these two to be the same person.

Doers are those who achieve their dreams — planned with intention.

  1. Don’t give in to fear. Outline your plan with small steps and small decisions.
  2. Map out your steps to success. Take steps that are measurable, achievable, repeatable.
  3. Balance wants and needs. After careful consideration work in pursuit of continuously moving forward.
  4. Set reasonable expectations. Momentum begins out of the comfort zone. Become empowered and build confidence.
  5. Envision the End Game. Plans need to have intention, action and most of all DISCIPLINE. With discipline, habits are created. Positive habits are like gifts to ourselves. They become unconscious fuel in our life.

Doers intentionally work on their dreams and take action to crystalize them. They move their dreams out of the head, commit them to paper and begin taking steps towards achieving them – with a plan.

Of course a plan is needed. Yet, far too many people do not plan for their future. They continue to dream and hope that dream will show up somehow.  Or they plan in their head, and just like their dreams, it stays in their head as a dream that doesn’t come true.

Doers don’t get distracted. When you gain perspective, you’ll change your life full of dreams into a life of possibility and action.

Anything is possible when we commit to ourselves and get it on paper. Big dreams come true with small steps which compound into big things.
